About Me...

As a determined aspiring developer with a passion for technology, I am driven by learning new skills. Over the past two years I have worked hard to complete the Web and Mobile App Development program at North Island college, graduating with a 4.26 GPA.

While I consider myself a developer first, I value the importance of designing an appealing product. I love problem-solving and have built strong skills in development languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, Java and Swift. Additionally, I am well educated in Version Control Systems, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Project Management, Social Media Monitoring and Content Management Systems. I am very adaptable, and always try to maintain a high level of quality in my work by picking up new skills as needed.

With my sights set on the future, I'm committed to translating my customer service skills and dedicated work ethic toward a new career as a Web Developer. I look forward to collaborating with like minded designers and developers in the future and working to make valuable contributions to the industry.

Employment Experience...

Feb 2022 - Apr 2022 |North Island College -Project Manager

Over the course of two months, our team worked to complete an application prototype for the Apprenticeship/Trades program at North Island College. This was a government funded project, hoping to improve the documentation and skill tracking experience for upcoming Trade Students.

As the Project Manager, I was in direct communication with the client to establish project requirements and helped to manage the tasks and responsibilities of a team of 5 individuals. I gained valuable experience collaborating within a team to meet project goals.

Duties included:

  • Client communication to establish and maintain project requirements
  • Project scope management to ensure completion on time and under budget
  • Research and purchasing of required tools and software
  • User testing distribution, moderation and recording
  • Team task and responsibility delegation
  • Project documentation and copy writing

May 2019 - Oct 2019 |Slope Side Supply -Distribution Driver and Customer Service Agent

As a Distribution Driver for Slope Side Supply I was responsible for performing my daily routes with care and efficiency, as well as maintaining long standing friendships with clients throughout the Sea to Sky corridor.

Duties included:

  • Driving and maintaining a fleet of trucks ranging from 3 to 5 tonne
  • Independently organizing routes twice daily to ensure efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate stock records for local businesses to promote consistent purchase schedules
  • Transporting refrigerated goods and hazardous chemicals, ensuring all health and safety guidelines are met
  • Helping maintain and stock a series of refrigeration units leased to customers throughout the sea to sky

Oct 2018 - May 2019 |Fairmont Heritage Place -Resident Attendant

As a Resident Attendant at Fairmont Heritage Place I was responsible for handling a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing, fast paced environment. Building connections with long term homeowners was an integral part of the role as well as ensuring each aspect of their stay with us was of a high standard.

Duties included:

  • Focusing on guest needs throughout their stay to ensure a high standard of quality
  • Shuttling guests throughout Whistler and encouraging exploration of local points of interest
  • Preparing homes for arrival including maintenance, technical support, and landscaping
  • Troubleshooting audio/video equipment, internet, cable, and basic mechanical systems

Mar 2017 - Sep 2018 |Direct Tap Logistics -Distribution Service Rep

As a Distribution Service Representative at Direct Tap I developed a passion for the growing craft beer industry in the lower mainland. I utilized my customer service skills to form connections with clients and drive revenue for the business.

Duties included:

  • Forming client relationships at various breweries, restaurants, bars and liquor store locations throughout the lower mainland
  • Assisting customers with inbound product rotation; promoting new seasonal products
  • Executing accurate route lists throughout dense metropolitan areas, optimizing schedules for efficiency
  • Operating a 5-tonne truck and performing daily pre-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance as needed

Attending Brock University out of high-school, I explored my interests towards a future career in communications and media. Leaving on good terms, I decided to pursue other opportunities in Western Canada. Eventually this lead me to North Island College and the continued pursuit of a career in tech.

2007-2011 |Pine Ridge Secondary -General University Studies

The rich catalogue of university level courses and extracurriculars at Pine Ridge Secondary allowed me to pursue my interests and develop important life skills. Throughout my studies I was an editor for the Year-Book Committee, and took part in organizing and maintaining various school events. I graduated in high standing in 2011.
